Booking Information

Our sixteen rooms are all available for double or twin occupancy and there are several family suites.

Rates vary according to the time of week and year, the size of the room, and its location. Single rates are offered Sunday to Tuesday nights for most of our rooms. Rates include VAT and a substantial continental buffet breakfast.

All bedrooms are en suite and non-smoking, with minibar, telephone, flat-screen digital TV, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Check-in from 2pm unless by prior arrangement, check-out before 11am (11.30am on Sundays and Bank Holidays).

There are a limited number of secure parking spaces nearby at £25 per day per car; parking to 5 pm on day of departure for £15 subject to availability. Additional off road parking 6/8 minutes’ walk from the hotel £15 per day. All parking is solely for hotel guests.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and cash. A 2% handling charge is added to credit card payments. Cheques are no longer accepted apart from sterling traveller’s cheques supported by Photo ID. Guests wishing to pay by cash on arrival will be required to supply card details to guarantee their booking or pay a cash deposit equal to a further night's stay which will be reimbursed on check out.

Booking Policies

A Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or UK-issued debit card, is required to reserve 1-2 rooms. N.B. We do not accept cheques.

Booking Procedures for 1-2 rooms

On line bookings

When a reservation is made via our website, or other on line booking systems, a confirmation email is sent within forty eight hours and the card details supplied to make the reservation are encrypted and securely stored. Seven days (or14 days if the booking is during June. July and September) prior to the booking arrival date a non-refundable charge of £50 per night for each room booked (or 50% of the nightly rate when this is greater) will be taken from the supplied card and the balance, also non-refundable, will be taken forty eight hours (or 7 days if the booking is during June, July and September) prior to the arrival date. (This will be done immediately if the arrival date is less than seven days or 48 hours respectively, at the time of booking).


Bookings by Telephone, Email, or “In Person”

When a reservation is made by any of these methods a confirmation email is sent within forty eight hours. Seven days or 14 days if the booking is during June, July and September, prior to the booking arrival date a pre authorisation for the full amount due will be taken from the supplied card. (This will be done immediately if the arrival date is less than seven days or 14 days if the booking is during June, July and September, at the time of booking). Pre authorisation reserves the funds in the card issuing banks suspense account until the authorisation is completed at check out.

Amounts which have been pre authorised or pre paid are non-refundable if cancellations are made within the period covered by our cancellation policies.

Non-authorised cards If the supplied card does not authorise for the required amount the hotel will email or telephone the client requesting alternative card details. New card details must be supplied within 24 hours of notification of non-authorisation in order to guarantee that the booking is held. The hotel reserves the right to cancel any booking if new card details are not supplied after 24 hours of notification.

Checking out with a pre authorised booking

The pre authorisation taken seven days, or 14 days if the booking is during June. July and September, before check in will be converted to a sale on the day of departure and the total will include any additional charges incurred during the stay. The card used at the time of making the reservation will be needed to complete the transaction when checking out. N.B. Alternative cards or cash can be used at check out if preferred and the pre authorization cancelled.

Checking out with an on line booking

A receipt and bill will be given at check out for the pre-paid on line booking. All extra charges incurred during the stay and any additional nights not included in the original booking will be due for payment at check out by card or cash.

Booking procedures for three or more rooms

To book three or more rooms a deposit is required and bookings can only be made directly with the hotel. Please contact us by phone or email for further information and to make a booking. Set out below are the booking details for multiple room bookings.

Group Bookings 3–8 Rooms

To reserve between three and eight rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50 per room per night, or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than eight weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than eight weeks. A minimum three night stay is normally required for bookings of five or more rooms for weekends in June and July 2017.
 
Block Bookings 9–16 Rooms

To reserve nine or more rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50 per room per night, or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than twelve weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than twelve weeks. A minimum of three night stays are required for all weekend block bookings during the period covered by the summer tariff. In the event of only two nights being required the third night will be refunded if the room can be re-let. Rooms booked for group and block bookings will only be held without a deposit for a maximum of four weeks from the date of the initial enquiry at which point rooms will be released for resale if the deposit has not been paid. The non-refundable balance of all group and block booking reservations must be paid four weeks prior to the arrival date.

Individual bookings which form part of an original group or block booking but are being guaranteed by personal card details in lieu of the usual deposit are subject to the group/block booking and cancellation policies and will incur full charges when cancelled within four weeks of the arrival date unless the room can be re-let.

Discounted Bookings

If following confirmation, the number of discounted rooms or nights booked is reduced the discounted rate will no longer apply and the rate according to the current tariff will be charged.
 
Third Party Bookings

When accommodation is reserved by a third party, cancellation charges automatically become the responsibility of the third party.
 
Account Payments

Bookings for payment on account will not be confirmed until the hotel has received acceptance of liability of full payment due, and/or cancellation charges if applicable, of all accommodation reserved by the third party/company. Accounts must be settled within seven days of date of invoice for one to two rooms. For group and block booking payments see details above
 
Long stays

"Long stay" bookings, seven + days are available on request. N.B. different booking and cancellation policies apply. Please contact the hotel directly for further information and to make a booking.
 
Please contact us immediately if you need to alter your booking in any way as failure to do so will be deemed as acceptance of the booking as set out on the confirmation sheet and the above conditions. All amendments or cancellations must be confirmed by you in writing: email is acceptable. We respectfully remind guests that a reservation made verbally or in writing constitutes a legal contract between themselves and Bath Place Hotel and our booking and cancellation policies will be strictly enforced.

 

WEB BOOKINGS
Bookings made via the website “Book On Line” facility are usually at a higher rate than bookings made directly with the hotel by email or telephone. We are happy to take booking directly either by email or telephone.
